The First Few Weeks

I have to say...the first few weeks of life as a family of five significantly exceeded my expectations.  We are so grateful for a healthy baby that brought peace into our home, a quick recovery for mom, kiddos that adjusted like champs, and a dad that had two and a half weeks off work!  Couldn't possibly ask for more.

Time at the hospital was wonderful.  Visits from friends, family that brought the kiddos up, and a wonderful medical crew that took excellent care of mom and babe.  So thankful for this time.

Loading up to go home

Our first day at home was great.  The kids loved on Eiley and we just laid low.

Dad got to take the older kids on some dates during his time at home.  Anniston and Dad went to a place to paint a mug.  What fun!

Dad took the kids swimming every day while he was home.  Anniston also got to take swimming lessons for the first time!  The first day was a bit scary but after that she loved it and did awesome!  So proud of her for sticking with it!

I know my coffee is too sweet when my one year old loves it.

At the end of Jake's time off work was a trip to the lake to celebrate the 4th of July with family.  My dad's side of the family was there which was so great to connect with aunts, uncles, cousins, and my grandmother.  It was so much fun!  Here's the parade!

Ben's first trip out on the lake.  Happy to be driving with Pops.

Ben loves Maddie

Jake and I even got to sneak away for a little while and found a small town ice cream shop in Vian called Bubba's Dairy Bar.  The shakes were delicious and we loved our little adventure.

This boy is so incredibly sweet to his baby sister.  He always wants to hold her and kiss her.

Rara was traveling the world when Eiley was born, so we were so excited when she returned and got to come meet her!

I decided to take the kids to get donuts on one of my first mornings home with all three.  It was a success!

I found Eiley in her crib like this.  Apparently someone thought she needed her Hippo.

Poor Eiley- they all love to be close

This is my first grocery run with Eiley.  She's in there somewhere.
