Chicago Trip

Jake had a continuing education conference in Chicago, which meant a long weekend date!  We had a blast!  We left on Friday, had the weekend to ourselves, then Jake had class Monday and Tuesday while I just rested.  We had a great time!  Ate good food, explored the city, and enjoyed quality time together.  Our hotel had a movie night on the roof, which was a fun way to have drinks and watch a movie.  The highlight was a little restaurant called Siena Tavern that we still dream about!  So yummy!

At the airport- delayed several hours, which seems to always happen with us.  Still happy though!

Exploring Chicago

I had my makeup done at our hotel and then we went out for a nice dinner.  So fun!

This was my view as I sat in a park, read, and journaled while Jake was in class.  It was the first alone time I had had in a very long time.  What a peaceful morning.
