Anniston's Thanksgiving party at Cochran Music Preschool.

Ok, so usually we wait until right before Christmas to do our decorating.  And our decorating is minimal at best.  This year though we went for it and did it right after Thanksgiving.  We started by an adventure to the mall to ride motorized animals.  I laughed the whole time.  It was awesome.

Then off to the tree farm to get our tree.  It was freezing.

Then back to the house to decorate.

For Thanksgiving we went to the lake and had great time with family.

We also told them about Baby #3.  They were shocked and so excited.  It was a great surprise!

We love Advent, getting to anticipate Jesus' birth.  This year our house church gave us these incredibly beautiful books that contained stories we could read each night as a family.  We read our book, colored our pictures, light our candles, and sang our Christmas songs.  Love this tradition.

My friend Emily hosts a cookie decorating party each December.  You would not believe the incredible works of art people produce at this party.  Unfortunately my work is just not up to par.  I wish I had a picture of mine.  They are pretty terrible....but I must say that I do get better each year.

Each year Jake and I take a little getaway in December just the two of us.  We say that it's to do our Christmas shopping, but we rarely buy much of anything.  Mostly we eat good food and go see a movie and sleep in.  We found a restaurant we love, Toulouse, that has the most amazing dessert.  Beignets and espresso cream.  Yum.
