About a week after coming home from Chicago, I noticed I was feeling a little bit different...so I thought I would take a pregnancy test. I laughed as I took the test, thinking I was so silly because I had zero expectation I would be pregnant. But when the words "Pregnant" showed up on the screen I was filled with so much gratitude for the new blessing in our life. We knew we were going to want another kiddo one day, and what a joy that baby #3 was coming even sooner than planned! I love how the Lord works. We waited on Anniston for quite awhile, and then Benton and baby 3 joined us with no wait at all! We knew from our history that His timing is always better than ours. What added to the sweetness was a conversation Jake and I had. Just a few short days before we got the news, Jake said to me that he was ready to have another baby. It's like the Holy Spirit was preparing his heart to joyfully celebrate the news, even though it wasn't in "our plan" yet. After I took the test, I needed a way to tell Jake...so I got out my thankful board and completed it with "Today I am thankful for...5". So when Jake came home, he saw the board. It took him awhile to understand what it meant....but once he got it, we laughed with joy and celebrated the exciting news. We were both thrilled. An awesome new adventure as a family of five was ahead of us and we couldn't wait!
