July 2016

Every year our friends host a 4th of July celebration out at their land.  We eat, play, and watch fireworks.  The kids loved it!  All of them loved the fireworks and to my surprise, none of them were scared.  We had such a good time!

The success at the first fireworks celebration led us to think Anniston was ready to go out on the boat to see the fireworks over the water at the lake.  We misjudged that one a bit.  She fell asleep on the drive out to the fireworks and woke up to very loud blasts...needless to say the entire boat got to listen to a very scared little girl crying through the entire fireworks show and all the way back to the dock and back to the house.  Maybe next year....

We did have a great time at the lake celebrating with family.  We all rode in the parade, which was so much fun.  Ben got to ride on Pops lap in the back of the ranger which was a big hit.

Ben didn't go out on the boat this year, so he stayed and watched at the house with Dad.  He thought that was pretty cool.

Sparklers are more Annistons style.

Anniston decided to do her own hair before we headed off to the hair salon for a haircut.  She looked lovely.  This was before...

And After...

Never know what she is going to choose to wear.

These two buddies made themselves a little meal and sat down for a good conversation...just chatting and laughing...I love catching these little moments.  I am so very grateful for the way these two have become such good buddies.  I pray their friendship continues to strengthen as they grow.

This girl is getting so big...and walking!

Even though I have discovered Walmart Grocery pickup (yay!!!) I still make a run to Target every now and then....and I'm so thankful for their free cookies.  It buys me about ten minutes to blaze through and grab what I need.

The sweetest.

I am so grateful for the friends we have that live on our street.  They decided to do a cookie and lemonade stand one day this summer.  Who wouldn't want some goodies from these cuties?
