One of the MAJOR perks of Jake's job is that he gets to take a continuing education trip each year. This year he decided to go to Hilton Head, South Carolina and the whole family tagged along. We had such a great time!
The road trip felt a bit daunting- 17.5 hours in the car with a 4 year old, 2 year old, and nursing baby. But we did it. And the kids totally rocked it. Mom had endless activities, treats, and movies ready at any sign of melt down.
We were so blessed to have Nana and Pops stay with us for part of our trip. We love having them around!
One day my cousin Parker who was studying at SCAD in Savannah drove up to visit us. It was fun to see him!
We had fun most nights making dinner at our house. We would usually make the kids a simple meal they would eat, then experimented with new seafood dishes for us. We loved it!
We loved that our house had a pool, especially since the beach in April was a bit chilly! I would usually swim with the kids in the morning while Jake was at his conference. He was always ready to head to the beach when he got home for lunch!
We would walk to town for a few meals or for ice cream.
This girl got to go get her hair done and get some ice cream one afternoon. She thought that was pretty cool.
The beach was probably the highlight. We loved walking a few blocks down to the beach to play every day. I loved the beach outfits the kids would pick out.
Benton loved flying a kite on the beach!
My favorite picture of the kids. So long beach.
