I love December! What a fun month to anticipate the birth of the King, spend time together as a family, snuggle up in the cold...it's just a great month!
I have slowly been trying to incorporate little activities throughout December to keep us focused on spending time together and on building excitement for the celebration of Jesus' arrival. This year one of the things we did was make peppermint play doh. It was fun!
We went to the book store to read Christmas books together. We love Christmas books, and this year our favorites were the Snowmen books.
Anniston and I had such a fun date this year. We went to the Nutcracker together! We got all dressed up, went on a special dinner date, and then we went to the ballet. Unfortunately the ballet started at 8 so we only made it halfway through this year, but what a treat to get such a special night with my girl!
This guy is a pretty picky eater. Most dinners he usually just eats fruit, the one thing on the plate he likes. However, when we go out he sometimes gets to pick what he eats- and at Mexican restaurants that usually means chips and queso for dinner!
Painting was a little messier than I had planned.
I tried to cut Benton's hair myself. I thought I did an ok job but when I texted this picture to my friend, she told me to jump in the car and go see a professional!

We love going to the lake for Christmas time. Time with cousins, matching outfits, yummy food, quality time with family...so much fun!
This year Nana got them such a special gift- she made each of the kids a sleeping bag with matching pillow. The kids loved them! I know we have many nights ahead of us of snuggling up together in our sleeping bags.
Candy canes are yummy.
Dad takes time off work around Christmas and we love all the extra time we get with him! This day we took a trip to the park for a picnic.
Eiley's first night in her sleep sack!

Benton's new toy for Christmas.
Somebody decided Eiley needed to wear the lion mask.
Getting so big!
