Gosh I never knew how much I loved Halloween until I had kids. I love seeing them in their costumes. They wear them all throughout the month.
Benton loved going with me to Sister's Halloween Party at school. He loved the parade, he loved the animals, the play ground, music time, snack time, the whole thing. And I loved watching Anniston proudly show him around. This guys is going to be ready for school when it's time for sure.
It was so fun to celebrate Ben on his birthday. We woke him up singing and with balloons, which he absolutely loved. Then we had such a fun day of playing his favorite games and eating all of his favorite things, then we ended the day with chocolate cake and singing and presents. I just loved the day so much, a day set aside to love on this guy.
This is the gift Anniston picked out for him at the store. A little creature pen. He loved it of course.
He really loved his balloons.
Checking out the new train table. Mom and Dad underestimated how long it would take to put together...so in an effort to show it to him before bed time, he got to see it half completed...and he didn't mind one bit.
We invited our families to come to Norman to celebrate Benton's birthday on Halloween. We went to Anniston's last soccer game, then we went to Mcalister's for lunch (they love their mac and cheese and cheetos), and then off to Chuck E Cheese to play some games. The kids loved their time with grandparents, and really, I think the grandparents had some fun too.
Then that night they all got dressed to go trick or treating. It was so much fun and they were just the cutest to watch walk up to houses and get their candy. We love Halloween- a time when strangers come to your door and you get to give them something. And so fun to be out and about and interacting with your neighbors and friends. Benton's favorite part of the night was when we got home and he got to hand out candy to trick or treaters. Every time the doorbell rang he was ecstatic. Our little owl, lion, and monkey...
