HE PASSED!

HE PASSED!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how proud I am of my husband. Today is a great day....the end of a long chapter in our marriage- for the past six and a half years, Jake has been working towards his goal of becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner...and today, February 6, 2012, he met that goal. What an amazing accomplishment. It fills me with so much joy to know that I have a husband who will LOVE his job...not only will he love his job, he will be FANTASTIC at it. Yes, Fantastic! For all of you prospective employers out there, you don't know what a blessing my husband would be in your clinic. He's amazing. Get ready to fall in love with Jake Bauer.

For those of you who know my husband, you know he Loves kids...you know he's amazing with kids...you know his life has revolved around kids- from camp counselor to tutoring to Big Brothers to Pediatric Nurse to Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, he has given his life to loving kids....if you know him, you also know that kids love him...I mean, REALLY love him. I really don't know how he does it, but it doesn't take long at all for a kid to meet him and fall in love with him...just the other day, 2 and a half year old Gracie Grigor told him that he was her best friend...Time after time I will walk into someone's house to be greeted by a disappointed kid who says "Hi Kristin! Where's Jake?"....I love this about my husband, I really do. It makes me proud and it makes me excited to see him with our kids, because he will be amazing. But yes, there's a part of me that thinks- shoot, he's so awesome, is there anything I can give to them that he can't? Well people, I have to take a minute to say I have found something that I am a little better at....getting babies dressed. Really...getting those arms through the arm holes? Yep, it's a challenge for him...so you better believe I gladly prance into the nursery to save the day and get that onesie on my girl...yep, I love it. So go ahead kids, enjoy him because he's so much fun and so funny, but when you need some clothes on your body, come find your mom. :)

Jake, husband of mine and love of my life- I couldn't be more proud of you today. You did it. You made your girls proud. You are our hero!
