Anniston- 15 months

Anniston is 15 months.  I fall more in love with her everyday.  She is so much fun.  A little bit about her right now:

She got her first tooth a few weeks ago at 14 1/2 months!
She is starting to say all kinds of things.  Our favorite is "Help please".
She loves to tell us what a dog says, "Ruf Ruf"
She loves to dance and it's about the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Favorite Song:  Some nights by Fun
Her hair is getting so long, I can put it in pigtails!
She will still cuddle with us...man do I love this.
She loves books and loves to read with us.
She loves to wrap clothes around her neck like scarves.
She loves to show off her belly button and to find everyone else's.  She thinks this is quite funny.
She loves pizza and clementines and yes, canned asparagus!
She is funny and is definitely not short on personality.

Anniston Joy- you are truly full of joy and you give it away to everyone you encounter!

Looking so big!

One of the rare times you'll see her in a dress

Loves to close the door and go in a room by herself

Cuddle time with mom

Helping mom with laundry

Just being silly

This night we met my aunt Ann and cousin Matthew for dinner in Oklahoma City.  It was SO FUN to see them and catch up with them and for them to get to spend time with Anniston.

Helping mom with her work

Couldn't quite make it through her diaper change

She loves Grammy's IPAD.  The second she walks in the door, Anniston is rummaging through her purse to find it.

A typical face.

Loves the swings

First pigtails!

Hats

I may be biased, but I think Anniston has to be the cutest baby in the world when she wears hats...

My favorite hat!

Valentine's Day

We love traditions in our family.  Jake and I have a Valentine's tradition that we've been doing since we got married.  Every year on Valentine's Day, we go to Sonic and share a Sweetheart Shake.  I love this.  It reminds me of when we were first married and going to Sonic for Valentine's Day was all we could afford, but it was enough.  We envision ourselves being in our seventies and pulling up to Sonic to share our Sweetheart Shake.  Man, I love my husband and am so thankful for my amazing Valentine.

This year's shake= Cherry with mini chocolate chips!

We also got the opportunity to think about what our Valentine's Day would look like for our kids.  Jake decided he wanted to have a different flower for each of his girls that he would get every year for them.  Jake chose yellow daisies for Anniston, representing the abundant JOY and HAPPINESS that overflows from her life.

For me, I decided I wanted to do cupcake dates...so Anniston and I went on a cupcake date.  Jake was jealous of our date, so we let him tag along!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thursday lunch dates

I am so very thankful to have Thursday's off.  On Thursday's, Anniston and I meet Jake for lunch, and it's so fun!  We love getting to see him!

Lita

Lita's life has gotten significantly better in the last few months...she has made quite a friend.  Anniston LOVES Lita.  She wants to sit with her and be next to her all the time.  They are definitely little buddies.

New Year's Eve

Jake and I aren't usually big New Year's Eve people- we don't usually make big plans.  This year, we had so much fun...the perfect amount of low key and the perfect amount of celebration.  We went to dinner with our friends the Waggoner's, then went to see Lincoln.  We got out around 11 and made it to friends house just in time to jump around, blow our noise makers, scream HAPPY NEW YEAR, steal a quick New Year's kiss, and head home to bed!  Perfect night for us!  I'm so excited about what this new year will bring- if His plans for us are half as good as this last year, it's gonna be awesome!  I am so very thankful for this past year- so much to celebrate!

My girly girl

I'm pretty sure Anniston has decided she likes being girly.  She likes her tutu to be on at all times, even over her jammers, and she loves to wear multiple bows in her hair at any given time, and she LOVES her new sunglasses.  I have a feeling she will definitely have an opinion about what she will be wearing before I know it!

Christmas

We had so much fun celebrating Christmas with our families.  We went to see my mom's family in Tulsa, then we went to the lake to spend some time with my family and Nana Great.  Then back to Norman where we went to Norman Community's Christmas Eve service and then had our family Christmas.  Our Christmas tradition is usually Hideaway pizza, mattress in the living room, watch Love Actually and The Holiday, and sleep in the living room.  This year since we did it on Christmas Eve, we had to substitute for Marco's pizza, because Hideaway Pizza was closed.  We love this tradition.  We also realize that soon we will need to change our movie choices when Anniston is old enough to join us all night, but that's ok by us.  Then Christmas morning, we opened presents and Jake's family came to spend the day with us.  We went to see a movie and had an assortment of yummy appetizers.  Our Christmas break was so fun.  I just love the holidays, getting some set aside time to celebrate Jesus' birth with family and friends.  Love it.

We also took Anniston to see Santa.  I think the pic is pretty hilarious.  She looks neither terrified nor happy...just pretty unimpressed with the whole thing.
